We are continuing the new feature of the Newsletter to encourage customers to share their experiences with products purchased at the market. These can be dishes, beverages or meals, uses of items like wools, soaps or lotions or perhaps even combinations of these such as a dinner complete with flowers and candles. When their submission is published, customers will receive a $10.00 OFM Gift Card to purchase items from one of our wonderful vendors. Entries can be sent to our e mail for an upcoming newsletter: oakmontfarmersmarket@gmail.com . We also encourage customers to post these on their social media, tagging OFM and the vendors.
Here is a meal prepared from products purchased at the market by our market attendee Laurie Rofini:
This pasta was made with Axel’s chili chicken sausage (Lindenhof Farm), arugula (Full Table), cherry tomatoes (Red Barn), and roasted garlic goat cheese (Amazing Acres). The sausage was removed from its casing, then cooked in olive oil and broken up. The arugula was chopped then wilted on top of the cooked sausage along with the sliced tomatoes. The cheese was added with a little pasta water to make a light sauce, then drained pasta was mixed in. Serve it with black pepper and grated pecorino Romano.
